A little look at my personal life…
I feel like it helps you to know me better AND I’m a huge advocate for TEACHERS BEING PEOPLE TOO.. it’s important to acknowledge we are people (even though we sometimes wear capes and do really meaningful stuff with little people all day)… WE ARE HUMAN!
💚💚💚 So here’s a little peek at my human side:
My Better Half — John
John and I got married on June 14, 2019.
We are both from Ohio (Get this - we grew up 5 minutes from each other BUT we didn’t meet until we were in Colorado… at a Red’s/Rockies baseball game. Isn’t that insane?)
I had to move to Colorado to find an Ohio boy.
It certainly made going home for the holidays easy on us, home was the same place.
Now we live in a small town in Montana.
We like that - quiet, farm, river, lots of pets, no crowds - life.
We are hillybillys. I didn’t think we were going to take any engagement photos so I was trying to get some kind of picture to put on an announcement… haha, we ended up having an engagement celebration and my mom got a photographer (she so fancy)… So we had a good picture to put on the save-the-dates …
We are small town people, we hate being the center of attention… I feel like you can actually FEEL that when you look at this photo, (😂😂😂) — so I thought it was a good one to share — THIS IS WHO WE ARE.
John’s a fly fisherman, through and through… he’s done a lot of cool trips to fish in wild destinations, but he will grab a rod (and a shotgun or a dog, because we have grizzly bears 😮) and walk down to our river and fish for hours — and be just as happy… it’s the fishing part that matters - doesn’t matter where.💚

July 25, 2014 — We had just spent 8 days floating and camping on the river in the Bob Marshall Wilderness… We had to have our gear and our raft hiked in on donkeys and we rode horses… it took 11 hours… You ain’t never been more sore than we were after that ride 😜… it was WILD.
May 3, 2014 - You can’t really tell, but I had just fallen off the raft… I was in the back seat, also known as the EJECTION seat… and we bounced off a rock, and IN I WENT! 😬
We spend a lot of time outside 😎… John has taken me on the coolest adventures of my life.
February 4, 2017 — doing what we do. (John fishes, and I take selfies.)

December 26, 2014- We were shooting shotguns at a winery in KY…
***Fun fact — This is the same place I had my bachelorette party… Yup, that’s right — I brought about 20 ladies to shoot shotguns and (then after) drink wine… Almost NONE of them had shot a gun before that day, and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM LOVED IT!!!! 😂😂😂
Then, we spent the night in this awesome cabin and danced like it was 1999…
